Who we are and what we do 
The Legacy Land Conservancy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that acquires, manages and conserves significant natural habitats for the benefit of wildlife, fish, water quality, flood control, education and aesthetics. Legacy also engages in activities that increase society's knowledge and skill in the arts and sciences of natural resource conservation. 

Membership is open to all.      WELCOME!

 

How we do it
 
Philanthropy and government regulation alone are not enough to effectively conserve natural resources. Legacy approaches its mission as a business, and we recognize that land acquisition takes money - lots of it. In addition, good perpetual stewardship takes know-how. Consequently, Legacy engages in several activities with the primary aim of raising the cash necessary to finance our land acquisitions, while at the same time increasing our knowledge and skills in on-the-ground long-term stewardship.
